アメリカのトランプ大統領と、北朝鮮の金正恩朝鮮労働党委員長による史上初の米朝首脳会談が2018年6月12日、シンガポールで行われた。
以前は自身のツイッターで「ミサイルマン」や「（核実験やミサイル実験に対し）他にやることがないのか」と批判していたにもかかわらず、実際に会うと「優秀なリーダーだ」と褒め称えたそうだ。
トランプ大統領の真意はよくわからないが、握手を交わす二人の後ろを飾る二種類の国旗も混じり合って見えた。

■Statement
The historic first-ever US-North Korea summit between US President Trump and North Korean leader Kim Jong-un took place in Singapore on June 12, 2018.
Despite previously criticizing Kim on his Twitter account as "Missile Man" and asking "Doesn't he have anything better to do (regarding nuclear and missile tests)?", he reportedly praised him as an "excellent leader" upon meeting him in person.
While President Trump's true intentions remain unclear, the two national flags adorning the background behind the two men shaking hands appeared to blend together.
