日本のサイバーセキュリティー対策本部の担当大臣、桜田義孝氏が国会にて「パソコンを自分で使用した事が無い」と発言。
野党がすかさず「日本のサイバーセキュリティー対策本部の担当大臣がパソコンを触った事も無ければ、専門知識も無いのに国のセキュリティー専門の
担当大臣っておかしいだろ!」と声が飛んだ。国民民主党の斉木武志議員もサイバー関連で10年にイランで起きた、
USBメモリーを使ったイラン核施設サイバー攻撃事件を例に挙げ、日本の原発に関して質問したが、答弁がかみ合わない場面があった。

斉木氏　日本の原発にUSBジャックはあるか?

桜田氏　基本的には使われない。

斉木氏　あるかないかを聞いている

桜田氏　使わせない。

斉木氏　USBジャックをご存じか?

桜田氏　たとえあったとしても万全の対応をする。

というようなトンチンカンな回答をして、世界でも話題になった。
USBを知らない桜田氏にとってはUSAのようなものだったんだろうか。

■Statement
Yoshitaka Sakurada, the Minister in charge of Japan's Cybersecurity Measures Headquarters, stated in the Diet that he had "never used a computer himself."The opposition immediately retorted, "It's absurd that the Minister in charge of Japan's Cybersecurity Measures Headquarters has never touched a computer and lacks specialized knowledge, yet is in charge of national security!"
Takeshi Saiki, a member of the Democratic Party for the People, also questioned Japan's nuclear power plants, citing the 2010 cyberattack on Iranian nuclear facilities using USB memory sticks as an example, but there were moments where the answers were completely disjointed.

Saiki: Are there USB jacks in Japanese nuclear power plants?

Sakurada: They are basically not used.

Saiki: I'm asking whether they are there or not.

Sakurada: They are not allowed to be used.

Saiki: Are you familiar with USB jacks?

Sakurada: Even if there were, we would take all necessary precautions.

These nonsensical answers became a topic of discussion worldwide.
Perhaps for Sakurada, who was unfamiliar with USB, it was like the USA.
