■ステートメント
かつて首相を務めた安倍晋三氏は、奈良県で選挙候補者の応援演説中に銃撃され死亡した。
現在も自民党の支援団体の一つである統一教会は、安倍氏の祖父である岸信介が日本に招いたのだが、長い年月を経て皮肉にも犯行の動機になった。
安倍氏個人の死には哀悼の意を表すのはもちろん、決して遺体を蹴るつもりはない。
しかし、森友学園をめぐる公文書改竄問題や加計学園問題、桜を見る会など彼が内閣総理大臣を務めた時代に行ってきたあらゆる不祥事による負の遺産がある以上、それを”なかったもの"として清算したわけではない。
本来は暗殺という形ではなく、法によって裁かれるべきだった。
タイミングもありその2日後の選挙では自民党が圧勝し、アメリカの雑誌・タイム誌が次回号の表紙に起用したことで神格化されることを危惧する。一度 ”タイム” をかけて再考していただきたい。

■Statement
Former Prime Minister Shinzo Abe was shot and killed while giving a campaign speech for a candidate.
The Unification Church, still a support group for the Liberal Democratic Party, was invited to Japan by Abe's grandfather, Nobusuke Kishi, and ironically, after many years, became the motive for the attack.
While I offer my condolences for Abe's death, I have no intention of disrespecting his body.
However, given the negative legacy of all the scandals he committed during his time as Prime Minister—such as the falsification of official documents surrounding Moritomo Gakuen, the Kake Gakuen scandal, and the cherry blossom viewing party—these cannot be simply erased and forgotten.
Ideally, he should have been judged by law, not assassinated.
The timing is also problematic, as the LDP won a landslide victory in the election two days later, and Time magazine featured him on the cover of its next issue, raising concerns about his deification. I urge Time to reconsider this.
