■ステートメント
2020年春にコロナウイルスが流行り、江戸時代末に創造された疫病退散の妖怪（神?）としてアマビエなる正義の味方まで令和のこの時代に復活した。
人間にとってコロナは悪者となっているが、人間の活動が自粛された約1ヶ月間で、オゾンホールも解消され、野生動植物は息を吹き返し、地球の環境は随分改善されたそうだ。
最近、女子高生の間で「ぴえん」という言葉が流行っている。かわいらしく泣いているさまを表すオノマトペだが、それを表す絵文字をコロナウイルスのピクトグラムを合わせた。
アマビエに泣かされたコロナウイルスのタイトルは、「アマビエ」と「ぴえん」を合わせた造語。
そろそろ「コロナ＝悪」というレッテルを一方的に貼るのではなく、コロナと共存していくという思考に切り替えていいのではないだろうか。
ちなみに、《アマぴえん》のシリーズは、赤・青・黄・黒・緑の5色あるが、今年東京で開催されるはずだったがコロナによって中止になった五輪のマークの色になっている。

■Statement
In the spring of 2020, the coronavirus pandemic hit, and even Amabie, a yokai (or perhaps a god?) created in the late Edo period to ward off plagues, was revived in this Reiwa era.
While the coronavirus has become the villain to humans, it seems that during the approximately one month when human activity was restricted, the ozone hole disappeared, wild animals and plants recovered, and the Earth's environment improved considerably.
Recently, the word "pien" has become popular among high school girls. It's an onomatopoeia representing a cute crying sound, and the emoji representing it has been combined with the coronavirus pictogram.
The title of "Coronavirus Made to Cry by Amabie" is a neologism combining "Amabie" and "pien."
Isn't it time to shift from unilaterally labeling "coronavirus = evil" to thinking about coexisting with the virus?
Incidentally, the "Amapien" series comes in five colors: red, blue, yellow, black, and green, which correspond to the colors of the Olympic rings that were supposed to be held in Tokyo this year but were canceled due to the coronavirus.
