■ステートメント
作品の設置場所は、三条小橋（安藤忠雄設計の建築の隣）の下の高瀬川の中。日本人はもちろん、大勢の外国人観光客も行き交うロケーションであることから、「アート」という概念にとらわれず、思わずカメラを向けたくなるよう意識した。
“鯉（koi）” と “恋（koi）” を掛けて、19匹の鯉の絵を並べて “LOVE” の文字を構成した。

■Statement
The artwork is installed in the Takase River, beneath Sanjo Kobashi Bridge (next to a building designed by Tadao Ando). Given its location, frequented by both Japanese and numerous foreign tourists, the artist aimed to create something that transcends the conventional concept of "art," something that would naturally invite people to take photos.
Playing on the Japanese words for "carp" (koi) and "love" (koi), the artwork features 19 carp arranged to spell out the word "LOVE."
