■ステートメント
大阪維新の会は大阪市を廃止し東京23区のような特別区4つに再編し
大阪府の権限を強化する、いわゆる“大阪都構想”の是非を市民に問う
投票を2度にわたって行ったが、2020年もそれは敵わなかった。
「府（歩）」という駒は、「都（と）」になれなかった。
大阪維新の会が叶えたかった夢を、成ることがなかった将棋の駒に喩えた。

■Statement
The Osaka Restoration Association held two referendums to ask citizens whether they wanted to abolish Osaka City and reorganize it into four special wards similar to Tokyo's 23 wards, and strengthen the authority of Osaka Prefecture—the so-called "Osaka Metropolis Plan"—but in 2020, they were unsuccessful.
The chess piece "Prefecture" could not become "Metropolis."
The Osaka Restoration Association's dream was likened to a chess piece that never became a metropolis.
